Shakira R is a magnificent mare by the legendary sire of top-performing horses, Salute. Shakira R would be one of the youngest of the remaining Salute generation. Salute is the sire of: Victory Salute, current Australian Grand Prix dressage champion and just represented Australia at the World Cup Dressage Finals in Holland; Stirling Stilton, who represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games in Spain in 2002 and was the highest scoring member of the Australian Team; DP Christopher, NSW Grand Prix Champion some years ago; Stirling Sprite, advanced eventer and World Cup showjumper; Staccato, ranked number one eventing stallion in the world; Stirling Soux, 4-star eventer; F1 Pharenelli, advanced eventer; Sydney Lights, advanced eventer and so the list goes on and on.
Shakira is out of the wonderful mare Lucilla R who is a full-sister to classified stallion Stirling Liberty who was a World Cup showjumper and significantly sired Snowy River Blackwood, one of Australia’s leading Grand Prix dressage
combinations. Shakira R is the dam of 2004, 2005 & 2006 filly foals all being retained by Ryans. Her 2007 Regardez Moi colt sold for $11,000, the 2008 Genesis filly sold for $16,500, the 2009 Regardez Moi filly sold for $17,600. We look forward to the 2010 Jive Magic foal (due:16/9/10).
This is as good as it gets when looking at state-of-the-art broodmares.
